I ran across a post mentioning Top Floor Rugs and found this rug that I've had in my inspiration folder for a while now. It's definitely still one of my favorites! Designed by Esti Barnes.

1st Dibs Finds

Friday's "1st Dib's Find" is this exotic Spanish Leather Chair. With its mix of 60's Italian design and traditional Spanish techniques, it brings to mind the hauntingly beautiful and visually stunning images found in the works of Floria Sigismondi. You might be familiar with her directorial work on music videos for Marilyn Mason and The White Stripes. I'm really excited to see her debut film, The Runaways, which she wrote and directed. The film is having its world premier at The Sundance Film Festival going on right now.

Takashi Murakami's flower pillow reminds me of sunnier times on this stormy, rainy day in LA. Kaikai Kiki has created his signature pillow into a variety of sizes featured on honeyee.

1st Dibs Finds

Friday's "1st Dibs Finds". Still on my brass trip, I'm kind of feelin' these Italian brushed brass lamps with movable parts that turn in different directions. The center is made of fused glass that looks like stone. Designed by Roberto Rida.

Soul Birds

Welcome back! I hope you had a great New Years. My New Year has already been quite interesting. Just hope that things work out and it only gets better. I'm also looking forward to Mercury getting out of Retrograde on the 15th.
Now, onto other things.....I love these by Sanna Annukka:
In Karelia there was an ancient belief in the Sielulintu or Soul bird. "It was believed the Sielulintu protected a persons soul at it's most vulnerable; when dreaming, and it was tradition to keep a carved wooden bird by the bedside to keep the soul safe during sleep."
